HWPL’s seed library is a collection of heirloom (non-GMO) seeds that are available for resident Hewlett-Woodmere Public Library card holders.
HWPL card holders may request up to 5 packets of seeds each year at the information desk Unlike traditional library materials, these seeds are yours to keep, grow, and nourish in your garden.
How To Participate in HWPL’s Seed Library
- You must be a resident Hewlett-Woodmere Library cardholder in order to participate.
- Patrons may request 5 packets of seeds per year by showing their HWPL library card at the Information Desk and requesting their seeds.
- Sow your seeds!

Museum Passes – Use your library card to reserve a museum pass for Brooklyn Botanic Garden, New York Botanical Garden, Old Westbury Gardens, Garvies Point Museum & Preserve, Harbes Barnyard Adventure, Long Island Science Center, New York State Empire Pass, or South Fork Natural History Museum & Nature Center.
